The high winds of recent days have served to show all of us and Gonzi hopefully, how foolish the PM has been to ignore all the cultured voices of reason against an open air theatre, when we already have so many openair venues to choose from.
Maltastar spoke to a leading sound expert who told us...."Even when you have an orchestra arriving to play, their instruments must be kept in a covered place not only before the concert but during rehearsals and sound checks which take place during the day.
" Our very long hot summmers militate against open air theatres which are simply not ideal for a live orchestra."
Has Josef Calleja and others had to postpone their concerts in vain, or will the PM accept his personal vain fantasies cannot and should not be fulfilled.
Will the P.M now see some sense, and use that important historical and cultural space for a covered theatre this country needs, for its live orchestra particularily, and which it has asked so repeatedly for?
